World of Warcraft First Aid
Being able to heal yourself is one very desirable skill in Warcraft and therefore one of the best secondary professions to have is First Aid. You’ll find some great tips and insights into Firs Aid in this WoW First Aid guide.
Its ability to reduce a players down time make first aid great for almost any class even healers. Your ability to heal others will make you a fantastic addition to groups and raids. First Aid utilizes various bandages as a tool in healing. These bandages are made from a variety of cloths that you get as you level up. Higher level and quality cloths have more healing power. This WoW first aid guide won’t go into actually making and using the bandages. The list that follows is of the various cloths, their skill level and healing power. As you’ll see heavy bandages heal better.
- Linen: Starting skill level, with a 66 Healing power and (114 healing power for Heavy, meaning heavy bandages) over 6 sec
- Wool: Find a trainer once you’re at level 115, Healing power is 161 (301 for Heavy) over 7 seconds.
- Silk: You’ll need to seek out a trainer at level 150, Healing power is 400 (640 Heavy) over 8 seconds.

Heavy bandages, which need 1 extra piece of cloth, will heal better than regular bandages. Books used for training to make different bandages can be found in the wild or bought from various traders. Next we’ll take a look a leveling in the WoW first aid leveling guide. One book you’ll need for leveling through skill levels 125-225 is the “Under Wraps” book. It costs 1 gold to buy and you can find it in Stromgarde Ruins or buy it from Deneb Walker if you’re Alliance. Or, for Horde, it can be bought from Balai Lok’Wein in Brakenwall Village, Dustwallow Marsh.
In order to level 225 to 300 you’ll need to complete a special quest. You’ll need at least to have leveled to level 35 and skill 225 to do this quest. For the quest, Alliance faction should seek out Doctor Gustaf Van Howzen in Theramore Isle. Horde players should find Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall located in the Arathi Highlands.
You’ll need a book in order to train for the Master level which is level 300-375. Alliance players will be able to get it from the Temple of Telhamat, while Horde players need to look in Falcon Watch. You can also get the Netherweave book here.
As a conclusion to the WoW first aid guide I’d like to mention some quick things about healing. Healing can only take place when you’re standing completely still and aren’t taking any damage. If you end up taking some damage or moving while healing then you keep the healing you’ve gotten but any further healing stops. When your healing you can’t inflict damage on anyone. Give yourself some time to heal by momentarily stunning your enemy. Use Heavy bandages to do this best.
