Using Different Plastic Surgeons
It really is amazing how common plastic surgery has become in the 21st century. Back many decades ago, the only time plastic surgery was used was when it was done because it had to be done. If your face was smashed in or you had serious injuries then plastic surgery can be used to help you. But, recently plastic surgery is being used for a different purpose. There is a greater perceived importance on looks and beauty than ever before, and people are turning to surgery to make themselves look beautiful. To many of us, plastic surgery for the sole purpose of improving your looks seems crazy. Of course, none of this really prevents people from going out and having it done.
Plastic surgery for the purpose of improving your looks seems to be mostly used upon celebrities. When you think of what surgery costs and the outrageous fees, it would be understandable if you think that only celebrities or really successful people would contemplate plastic surgery. It may surprise you that a lot of people who are not outrageously rich, and still have fairly normal careers, will save money for years in order to get a plastic surgery operation. Plastic surgery can cost tens of thousands of dollars for each operation, and yet people still do it.
In addition, you will find people that turn to plastic surgery to do some really wierd things you wouldn’t normally think of. My favourite case of an outlandish use for plastic surgery involves Jocelyn Wildenstein. A celebrity socialite, Wildenstein’s billionaire husband left her, and she felt she needed to upgrade her looks. She hired one of the best plastic surgeons around to mould her face like a cats. Reports say that when Wildenstein walked out of the surgeons office, the other patients were so scarred that they ran away. I am assuming you don’t want to look like a cat or tiger. Those concerned about their appearance and attractiveness turn to plastic surgery in order to appear several years younger, and change the look of their face.
When you consider how many people are willing to spend a lot of money on operations, it will not shock you much when you hear what many surgeons earn. I read that the average salary of a plastic surgeon is over $320,000 a year. That’s the average salary. Think of how much money the top surgeons would make. I heard that the number one plastic surgeon in the world (a client of Tony Robbins) got paid one million dollars by the sultan of Brunei to fly over and operate on three people’s faces. Obviously, this is a nice profession to be in. But becoming a plastic surgeon is like being a doctor: there is a lot of study and effort you have to put in, and it’s certainly not for everyone.
Now if you still want to benefit from the advantages of a plastic surgeon, then as you would expect, there are a lot of surgeons that can do it for you. Being an American citizen, I’ve been to a lot of different Portland plastic surgeons, Oklahoma plastic surgeons and Fort Worth plastic surgeons. Before going with any plastic surgeon, you should of course do some research. For the amount of money you pay you’d better go with someone that knows what they are doing. However, almost all plastic surgeons that have a reasonable number of clients and are well known are extremely good, and don’t mess up often.
