The Samsung SCX 4521 Printer – Appropriate For The School
The common denominator in my family is that we rely on machines for our jobs and school work. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that we have many technological devices lying around. Our favorite is the printer. We rely on it to produce printouts of maps and documents. We have been using it for years so wearing it out was inevitable. It was at this time that I came across the Samsung SCX 4521 printer using Samsung SCX 4521 toner.
It was actually a sudden change of mind that I ended up with the Samsung printer. I intended to buy a different brand until I saw the price tag on the Samsung printer. It was almost half the price of the printer I initially picked. The really low price was more than enough to make me want to give it a shot. The printer is multifunctional, designed for printing, scanning, copying and faxing. It runs at 20 ppm with a 600 x 600 dpi print resolution. To top it off, it boasts a professional look that weighs 23 lbs.
The monochrome printing is perhaps my favorite feature. The printed characters looked sharp and smooth, which for me means quality printouts. Even when I use the smallest font size there is, the quality remained. Economically, my new printer prevailed over my old one. This is because I had to buy four cartridges to make my old printer work. This was very tasking as my three children haven’t learned how to conserve yet. In my new printer, I only had to buy one. The printer also has a “toner save” feature that reduces toner usage but still make quality print-outs.
There were incidents in the house where a copy of a document was badly needed and we had to go out and find a copy machine. Now we can avoid those incidents using our new printer. The copier feature is easy enough for my kids to get used to. All they have to do is raise the copier lid, set the device, and they were good to go.
The fax feature of the machine is very convenient for me and my wife. It saves us from having to drive down to an establishment that offers fax services. It was either this or trying to use the office fax machine. Our new printer allows us to conduct our faxing needs in the comfort of our home.
I believe the one feature I had a problem with is the scanning. Honestly, it was a little disappointing. It showed a lot of contrasting strips along with poor resolution and pitiful color accuracy. On a lighter note, though, the scans are tolerable when it comes to documents and simple pictures we just need a back-up of.
I have observed that the printer has things that might raise concern to some people. We have experienced frequent paper jams lately. What we do is we just remove the jammed paper and its fixed. The high-pitched sound the machine emits though, is a bit annoying.
The Samsung printer is designed for only black prints. This may be a minus to some people, but they should think about their need for color prints. How often does anybody really need a color printout? The Samsung SCX 4521 printer is convenient as it is handy to have in the family.
For the documents we need, the Samsung SCX 4521 laser toner performs as well as I could hope. Each page produced by Samsung cartridges is crisp and clear. I’ve saved additional money by ordering printer toner cartridges online.
