The Hewlett Packard LaserJet 3055 Printer Is really a True Multi-purpose Performer
It’s no secret that the HP LaserJet 3055 printer is a true multifunction performer across almost every assessment aspect. It occupies a place in the Hewlett-Packard all in one or multifunction printer universe that is aimed squarely at the pocketbook of the home office or small office entrepreneur who’s looking to save a bit of money by combining faxing, copying, scanning and printing in one nicely designed unit.
In terms of price for one of these very versatile office machines, the 3055 sits at perhaps the upper end of the scale, coming in as it does for about $600. This is a couple of hundred dollars more than many other Hewlett-Packard all-in-one printers, but the price is certainly justified by its high quality of printing and its speed, as well. Indeed, this black-and-white laser printer is also fairly durable, which is somewhat of a surprise.
Print speed with this HP is excellent across the board, and one can reasonably expect 19 pages per minute of performance with little or no trouble at all. Getting laser printing capability at nearly 20 pages per minute from an all-in-one or multi-function printer is sure to appeal to most any entrepreneur out there looking to save money, yet get good performance from a multifunction printer.
Print quality with the 3055 is excellent across the board, by the way. It’s printer is capable of producing high quality product from the 1,200 dpi print resolution capability. Any print job that emerges will look sharp, crisp and clear and it will also appear in a relatively short amount of time. The included copy machine also can deliver 600 dots per inch of resolution, as well.
When it comes to how much paper this printer can store, 250 sheets is the norm. It’s all loaded into a single input tray that auto feeds into the machine. There’s a separate tray that can hold up to 100 sheets of output, either from the printer or the copier. In addition, copies will emerge at the same rate of speed. This shows that HP has done its job in providing good performance in almost all aspects.
As far as how well this HP model does and its subsidiary functions (scanning, faxing and copying), one would have to say that it does well indeed. The fax machine includes a nice 33.6 kb per second internal fax modem and its memory can hold up to 110 pages of fax or received product. It even works well as a scanner, including 600 dpi optical resolution.
In terms of connectivity, the LaserJet 3055 gives one the choice of either using USB or Ethernet ports. Additionally, the printer is fairly versatile in terms of the kinds of operating systems it can run, including Apple Mac OS X 10.3 and later platforms, as well as many different Windows operating systems. It’s nice, as well, that can make use of Linux.
The 3055 will not be for everyone and there are other Hewlett-Packard all in one or multifunction printers out there for less money, but it will be hard to find one for this price ($600) that does everything so well and is so durable, with a 7000 pages per month duty cycle. It also only weighs about 26 pounds, meaning it’ll be easy to move it around as needed. Taken altogether, there’s a lot to like about the HP LaserJet 3055 printer.
The LaserJet 3055 toner cartridge is another part of this model you’ll love. Performing at peak levels is what HP ink and toner does. Saving money is an important part of any business and ordering toner cartridge online will do that for your office.
