The Functional Hewlett Packard LaserJet 4050 Printer
The functional and efficient HP LaserJet 4050 printer does all it can to live up to its sterling reputation in the marketplace. It is able to work quite well in almost any type of environment and it’s obvious that HP designed to printer to integrate into the work group with little trouble. The 4000 series — of which the 4050 printer is a part — is a workhorse lineup at Hewlett-Packard. Many are made to be upgraded, including with other capabilities and additional memory, and the 4050 is no different. This particular printer delivers 17 ppm of print speed, which usually is more than enough for typical usage demands in a small workgroup.
One can connect the 4052 to a workgroup or even to a single computer via wired technology, including a parallel port and a serial interface port. As well, there are several different slots, which can be filled with a wireless or Ethernet capability. Combined with everything else that the computer can do, this extra functionality is quite appreciated by most printer customers deciding on just what model to go for.
The quality of the print job that emerges from the 4050 printer will be excellent, because this particular unit is equipped with 1200 dots per inch print resolution capability. This means that the print job that emerges will be detailed, rich, and will stand out from the page nicely. This gives the 4050 a step up over some of its similarly priced competition.
Standard onboard RAM comes in at 8 MB, though it can be increased all the way up to 200 MB with little trouble. For the usage that Hewlett-Packard has intended this printer to be able to handle, it’s a fair bet that standard memory should be more than enough to handle the kinds of print jobs being sent to the computer. Upgrade, though, if it’s going to be joined to an active network workgroup.
The 4015 can also hold a relatively large amount of paper within all of its input trays. Up to 600 sheets can be stored and then accessed by the machine, including 500 sheets from its single auto-load input tray. The 4050 also can print out on a wide variety of media stock, which includes standard plain paper and a variety of transparencies, envelopes and custom sizes.
The monthly duty cycle rating for the 4050 is an excellent 65,000 pages. This means that the printer will need no maintenance until it has met or exceeded 65,000 pages of printed product in a month or over a predetermined timeframe. Since it has such a nice duty cycle at such a low price, it stands out from its peers. Additionally, it runs off of several different Windows platforms.
When totaling up all of the functions and features of the HP LaserJet 4050 printer, it’s easy to see why it’s been a popular model in the 4000-series lineup. For about $120, one will be able to purchase a printer that delivers good print speed, excellent reliability and easy connectivity. Added altogether, it’s no wonder that so many prospective customers have put it through its paces and then taken it home that same day. When you need more ink, just search the internet for HP printer toner. In specific, you will need to buy HP LaserJet 4050 replacement toner. The more compatible toner cartridge you keep on hand the less likely you will run out of ink when you are printing a lot of pages.
