Auto wax can repair mild scratches while furniture polish is used for deep scratches. To use auto wax, rub it in the same manner as you would have done with toothpaste. Wait for the wax to dry and then remove the extra layer using cotton balls.
Furniture polish is quite abrasive and must be used only when the other ways to repair a scratched disc haven’t worked. A safe method to repair a scratched CD is to use a repairing machine. These machines are easily available on the web. Other than repairing scratches they can help in preventing them by keeping the disc clean. They usually clean and repair within seconds to give a nearly new disc.
