Latest Need For Speed Undercover Review
Although the latest Need For Speed game has got some poor reviews so far, I don’t see the problem with it.
I got the game yesterday and haven’t stopped playing it since, it’s great! With the brilliant ‘Most Wanted’ title, and then the poor ‘ProStreet’, the ‘Need For Speed’ range needed a lift. And I believe that this latest ‘Need For Speed’ game is that lift.
The game starts pretty sudden really, it starts with a car chase movie, and I advise that you don’t end up half way through drinking, like I was, when this movie begins as it throws you right into the chase without any notice.
Overall, the game is alot like the previous Need For Speed title, ‘Most Wanted’, with several cop chases and high speed street races.
However, the thing that makes this new game better than ‘Most Wanted’ is the amazing graphics and new cars. With a new range of cars including the Bugatti Veyron, you can race around the streets at a lightening speed.
Although the graphics and storyline of the game are brilliant, there are some downsides to the game. Firstly, the AI of the game is not brilliant. Within all races there are some drivers that go for the win, and then there are the annoying ones that simply take you out by smashing you into a wall. Generally, during a difficult race, you will end up cursing and restarting due to the AI.
Even though the game has it’s downsides, the overall play of the game is brilliant, it’s a mix of ‘Most Wanted’ and ‘Burnout Paradise’, and both of those games were great fun to play. I can only advise than when it comes to making their next ‘Need For Speed’ title, EA spend a little bit more time of the AI. Overall I would rate this game 8.5/10
