Delete Your Data Forever Or Run a Big Risk

See more in Data Recovery

For years people have sold on their old computers at car boot sales and more recently on E bay and who can blame them computers cost a lot of money to buy and once you are done using them you want to get a little bit back perhaps towards the cost of a new computer. There is however now a very real threat to people who sell on their old computers. With an increase in the number of things bought and sold online a lot of data such as passwords and bank numbers are stored on computers. Having these logins stored on the computer makes our daily lives a little easier but imagine the damage someone could do if they had all of these personal data, that is the threat which now presents itself.

Did Your Really Erase Them?!

What is this guy writing about your thinking, I am not stupid I deleted all those files from my computer so there is no real problem, only a fool wouldn’t surely! Well of course you deleted them but the fact is you probably have not permanently deleted the files, which means any one who buys your computer can access those files with a simple bit of software for retrieving deleted or lost files. Its not just data files which could be found they could find your family photos.

How Is It Possible To Restore Deleted Files?

Well the thing is when you delete a file from your computer it doesn’t really get deleted the path way that leads to it does and the file is labeled as being unwanted so the computer can overwrite it in the future. What this means is that until the data is actually overwritten any one who get their hands on that computer can use software to get your files. So please be careful when selling your computer and use a tool that permanently deletes files.
